Meet Genevieve Genevieve

Genevieve says of her time with MIDAS, "It was an amazing experience! I met so many great people, learned so much, and got great advice and contacts with very interesting people and institutions." A rising senior at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in microbiology and minoring in chemistry and religious studies, Genevieve noted that MIDAS reaffirmed her decision to go to graduate school in public health, noting it is something she "would really like to do in the future." Eventually, she would like to enter a career in goverment related to health policy.

Meet John

A senior computer science major at Fisk University, John commented, "The program coordinators were very helpful and the panels and talks that were organized were very informative." Even though computer science and public health are seemingly unrelated, John was impressed to learn that there was considerable overlap of the two fields in the MIDAS program.

Meet Arielle

"The MIDAS program allowed me to get my foot in the door of the public health field. I was able to meet many new people and learn about different opportunities. Now I have a better idea of the careers in public health and the work that different agencies are doing."
